In Greek mythology , the Erinyes ( Greek : Ἐρινύες , single: Ἐρινύς, Erinis ) orEumenides (Eumenís) (or Dirae in Roman mythology ) is a group of goddesses of anger and revenge. Erinyes were three goddesses: Alekto , Tisifon , and Megaira . They were born of Gaia and the blood of Uranus .
If there are people who killed his parents then the Erinyes will chase him and make him mad. they are often depicted with snakes on their heads, the blood out of their eyes and it was scary.
Once when Orestes kills his mother Klitemnestra that he was being chased by the Erinyes. Orestes later assisted by Athena and Apollo to defend himself in court in thecity of Athens . Erinyes accepted as a defense Orestes Orestes kills Klitemnestra to avenge his father, Agamemnon , who was killed by Klitemnestra.
