In Greek mythology , Kharites ( Greek : Χάριτες , single: Χάρις, Kharis ) is the goddess of charm, beauty, nature, human creativity and fertility. There Kharites, from the youngest to the oldest: Aglaia ("Beauty"), Eufrosine ("Laughter"), and Thalia ("Joy"). In Roman mythology, they are known as Gratiae .
Kharites usually regarded as the daughters of Zeus and Eurinome , although they are also said to be the daughters of Dionisos and Afrodit or Helios and Naiad Aigle . Homeros writing that they are part of the entourage Afrodit. Kharites also associated with the underworld and the Mystery of Eleusis
