( Greek :
Ἑκατόγχειρες
) which means "hundred-handed" is a giant in Greek mythology who had a hundred and fifty heads and a strong arm. There are three in number: Briareus or Aigaion, Kottus, and Giges or Gies. They are the children of Gaia andUranus . They are angry that makes Uranus Uranus forced back into the womb of Gaea Hekatonkheire. This action sparked the rebellion Gaia Uranus. When Kronos came to power, he remains imprisoned Hekatonkheire in Tartaros . Hekatonkheire eventually freed by Zeus , and they helped Zeus fight against the Titans . Hekatonkheire able to throw hundreds of large boulders at the Titans and played a role in the victory of Zeus in the war Titanomakhia . One of Hekatonkheire, Briareus, served as the guardian of Zeus.
